Mission Statement
Shulamith School for Girls is committed to providing excellence in למודי קודש and למודי חול for בנות ישראל, transmitting the מסורה of עם ישראל and developing a love for התורה ,מצות,השפה העברית, כלל ישראל וארץ ישראל in an atmosphere of warmth, concern for individual differences and positive encouragement.
The moral and ethical code of עם ישראל, permeates every aspect of school life: the curriculum, co-curricular activities and all relationships: faculty-student, parent-faculty, student-student and teacher-teacher, promoting refinement of character, including אחריות, כבוד הבריות, יראת שמים and sterling מידות.
Fostering personal growth, self-actualization, modesty of demeanor and attitude, team spirit and leadership qualities through taking initiative and participating in all learning, including music, drama, art and dance, community service חסד) and outreach) and other activities are the hallmarks of a Shulamith education. Through its dedicated faculty and support staff, the school helps channel students to discover their talents and their voices, and grow into healthy, intelligent adults that contribute positively and creatively to school life, family life, the community and the greater society.
The paramount goals of a Shulamith education are the transmission of eternal values, textual and thinking skills, critical reading, effective writing and public speaking, a knowledge of history, an appreciation for mathematics and science as well as the encouragement to become genuine Halachic Jews, sensitive to all people and their issues the world over and lifelong students of the moral lessons of the תנ”ך and דברי חז”ל.

Our Beliefs
Student learning is the chief priority that impacts all decisions that affect the work of the school.
All students can learn. Students are provided with a variety of instructional strategies to support their varied learning styles.
A wide array of co-curricular and extracurricular programming and activities are provided to enable the student to fully develop her potential.
The teachers at Shulamith School for Girls are deeply committed to inculcating a desire in their students to strive for excellence and a motivation to learn.
Moral and character development through Torah ideals informs all areas of the school culture. Students learn that Chaviv Adam Shenivra B’Tzelem Elokim (human beings are beloved because they are created in Hashem’s image).
Special emphasis is placed on nurturing in our Talmidot the feeling that through an understanding and appreciation of the concept that Chavivin Yisrael Shenikr’u Banim LaMakom (beloved is Israel who are called Hashem’s children).
Students are encouraged to engage in chessed programs and projects both inside and outside of school.
Shulamith School for Girls views M’dinat Yisrael as a gift of Hashem, central to the Jewish people, and the support of its well being as a responsibility of every Jew. The school’s curriculum, programming and overall tone reflects and emphasizes this basic precept.
